and storytelling is my life's work. I'm a multimedia creative with an emphasis in journalism and a background in news broadcasting, digital content, and photojournalism, currently working in digital news media. I thrive on challenges, fueled by drive, urgency, pride, and ambition. I have a passion for telling stories that highlight diversity, positivity, motivation, and success in communities of color in a beneficial and effective environment conducive to diverse learning. I also have a deep interest in bridging the gap between the linear newsroom and the digital sphere. When I'm not working on projects as a journalist, I'm usually working on projects as a visual artist, catching a Saints game on TV or a second line in New Orleans, and bonding with my husband and son. I'm a proud HBCU graduate, a #boymom to my first and only child, Lakeith, Jr., a #dogmom to my baby Kaine, a New Orleans native, and a die-hard Saints fan currently residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
